Halloween ghost story

Dear students,
Halloween is next week and we are celebrating it with our own ghost story. I wrote the beginning and you should continue it according to your imagination. You can start posting comments to continue it, but please follow the rules.
1. Each comment mustn’t have more than 150 words.
2. Each student can comment only two times.
3. Try to keep the initial tone and don’t forget to mention the characters who are already part of the story.
4. You may add new characters, human or not, as long as they fit the story. Don’t forget to describe them.
5. If two of you post almost at the same time, the last entry will be deleted or you can edit it according to the previous post.
6. Don’t write your paragraph directly in the comment box – copy it from a word document previously written.
7. Pay attention to the previous details and don't complicate the story too much.
8. Be creative and have fun!
It was foggy and cold on that dark moonless night. One could hear cats disturbingly crying and screaming as if they were being tortured by shadows. The small village was sleeping, but Dr. Farrow was returning home from Jake’s house. “Why can’t I find a reason for those strange scars on Jake’s body? Where did they come from? They keep appearing from nowhere… And all that agony… The man is in so much pain and I can’t help him” – he thought. Suddenly, a dog started barking furiously and Dr. Farrow got startled in a jump, feeling his heart bumping in his chest. He took some minutes to recover and continued his way home. His house was in the woods just outside the village, and there he lived with his wife and daughter. “Strange… the lights are on” – he thought while opening the door. He couldn’t understand the terrible picture he saw next: Marian and Eve, his wife and daughter, were sitting on the sofa and they didn’t look human. Their faces were very pale covered in purple veins, their eyes were all white and they had a frightening smile. “We were waiting for you, Daddy!” – it wasn’t Eve’s voice anymore, it was the voice of a monster.

  1. After that, Dr. Farrow stayed scared and jumbled - the worst was yet to come - his other daughter, Julie, appeared with the face disfigured and without a eye, bleeding from the mouth and with cuts all over her body, she said to Dr. Farrow “Don’t be scared, Daddy. I'm not going to hurt you”.
Julie was 17 years old and she was pregnant, and her belly was partially skinned, and her baby was dead and gory.
He stayed more scared, and left his house running., without even think in what he is doing, she came back to the small village and ran in direction of the local graveyard, when he saw a thing that left him very scared - in that night the Evil forces were joined to frighten that small village – in fact, it was a convenant beetween all the Evil Forces.

  2. OK... I don't think you understood what you had to do... Cláudio, you weren't supposed to continue and finish the story all at once!!! This is a group story: you write the next step and then your classmates continue it, ok? Delete the second part or change it the way you want, but don't end it.

  3. As he looked up the graveyard he saw the ones who had deceased crawl out of their graves, ones smashing through the ground and others naturally creeping through the dirt on top. He was bereft of his breath. He though he was going insane. A hand reached out and grabbed his shoulder. As he looked back, Farrow saw Jake’s face, his skin pale as snow. He jerked back, nearly tripping on his feet. Jake let out a small sigh, and whispered, as if he was having a convulsion, “They’re coming...!”
Dr. Farrow looked back at the village’s Graveyard and saw the undead move slowly towards him. He escaped from that madness, and ran towards the village.
“I’m sure someone will help!”, he thought while dashing towards the house of the village’s head, Mr. Brown.
He banged on the door for a few minutes, screaming for help, but to no avail. He only stopped when the lights inside when on. He banged harder, screaming with even more vigour. The door went open. Mr Brown was there standing with his usual auburn shoes and sandy brown clothes… though his face looked different. And then Dr. Farrow, once calmed down by having found the man he though could help him, was once again struck by horror when he found Mr. Brown to look exactly like his wife and daughters.

  4. I find the theme so much cliché, that it doesn't lure me into writing. xP
